There's nothing

Semester doing blogs has been an interesting experience. Not so much for what it taught me in English (if it's true that it serves to exercise grammar, syntax, vocalubario, etc.) but rather for the opportunity to know small fragments of the histories of my classmates. This doesn't mean that I haven't learned... on the contrary I think it helped me to remember some things that I saw in high school. It has been a more dynamic and different way of learning English. I think at the end of the course the reflection that arises is that which is embodied in the title of this post ... this methodology really teaches us English? I think so, but not as it's currently. Mister Sebastian should be able to review the blogs with some periodicity and not at the end of the course, to give us corrections and advice in the written part. Hi everyone, today I'm gonna talk about a book I've been reading: How Forest Think? by Eduardo Kohn, a (north) American anthropologist.  In this book Kohn wonders what it means to be alive or what it means to think, proposing questions like Can forests think? or Do dogs dream? This questions challenges the very foundations of anthropology, calling into question our central assumptions about what it means to be human (and thus distinct from all other life forms). Based on fieldwork among the Runa of Ecuador’s Upper Amazon, Kohn draws on his rich ethnography to explore how Amazonians interact with the many creatures that inhabit one of the world’s most complex ecosystems. Hello everyone, this time I'm talk about the subject I've enjoyed most this semester. Is a subject that is realized in Philosofy in Campus Juan Gomez Millas. The name of the subject is "Readings on temporality in Husserl and Levinas" .  I like the subject for two reasons. The first is that I'm a passionate about philosofy (it was a one of my career options). And the second is that this particular philosofy, the phenomenology, is very closer to some of the principles of the anthropology. In the subject, we see issues such as the construction of the time/temporality, the difference beetwen "time lived" and "time percevied". All based in two great philosophers: Edmund Husserl and Emmanuel Levinas. Althought it's a difficult subject for someone who doesn't have previus knowlegde of philosofy, the professor is very kind and has an incredible facility to explain. Hello class, today I have to talk a little about myself. So... I born in 1997 in Maria Elena, a village in the north of the country in the second region. When I was 5 years, my family moved to Antofagasta (Capital of region) for labor issues.  In Antofagasta I spent an important part of my life. She is a social antropologist who was born in 1941 in Wales, UK. In the present she has 78 years old, and works as professor of anthropology at the University of Cambrigde.  Together with Roy Wagner, they are the ones who initiate ontological anthropology. I do not know if I really have a favorite piece of technology. However, I read a lot and I like to look for new things to read, search for things online and things like that ... That's why I think the most impactful artifect in my life is the computer. With it you can do everything (or almost everything) and I think that for the current times, as well as in my life, it's something almost essential: for the university, work, etc. I particularly like PCs more than laptops or notebooks, because they have more capacity for data processing and that makes them much more versatile. Maybe the only disadvantage is not being able to transport them, but I think that this can be avoided easily if one is efficient in organizing with what one has to do. My first computer was given to me for a Christmas when I was 17 years old. Before that, I went to the library of my city to occupy the ones for public use.

Today I come to recommend a hip hop album that in my opinion is one of the masterpieces of the genre: A Journey into Abstract Hip-Hop by Gasoline. This album is considered a jewel within the abstract hip-hop; for opinions of many the best album of the genre. Unlike American hip-hop focused on flow, metrics and letter sense, French hip-hop (and European in general) lacked these aspects, so they left aside the lyrics and focused their musical development on expand sampling and scratch, generating abstract hip hop for lack of vocal elements. The disc has a duration of 1:10:05 and is an incursion of lyric solidity only rhythmic, where the lack of lyrics sends to the conchetumare all the bases (it has a single song with lyrics, in the rest the voices heard are pure sample ). It's for me, the beginning of what years later DJ Shadow and others, would begin to create under the name of Trip-Hop and its derivatives. Sup Everyone. Today I'm writing about a one of the photos I most like. I haven't a favorite photo but this in particular brings me good memories.  This picture was taken by me in November 14th (2018) during a fieldwork we do in the "El Palquial", Fourth Region, Provincia del Choapa. I love this pictures because it shows an activity that we always do in the fieldworks: walking. On that occasion we were walking to the reservoir "El Corral", a place that was about 17 km from where the photo shows. It was a great hike, with good stories and beautiful landscapes This photo also reminds me of good people who are not longer with us as Gadea, who returns to their country Spain; or people who no longer see because they have graduated as Beatriz, Isadora and Felipe.

For a while time that my favorite movie is "Interstellar". The reason why I like this movie is for the way it exposes the central arguments of the quantum  physics, the theory of relativity, string theory, and that kind of things.  Interstellar is science fiction film about the humanity's survival. The movie narrates a journey of a group of  astronauts in to the time to seek a sustainable planet, in a future where the Earth is no longer habitable. Another factor or aspect that makes the movie more interest is the soundtracks and the visual effects. The movie won the Academy Awards of the Best Visual Effects. The music of the movie is composed by Hans Zimmer with Christopher Nolan, and it was nominated for a Grammy of the better musical composition for a movie.  I don't have a favorite kind of film, because most of the time I like judge and value the movies by what it shows, by the scenes, by the soundtracks, etc;  but if I'd to choose a type of...

When I was a kid I would have liked to be a physicist. That dream changed to a be philosopher in the high school. Life led me to   the school, the fomal education, for enter a the military service.  For these years I was in the "free exams program" but the dream of being philosopher was kept.  I find out about Anthropology looking for other alternatives. Even within the military service I had to choose between philosophy or anthropology. The thing that helped me decide for anthropology was a gift that my squad sergeant gave me for my birthday: a book of the anthropologist Claude Levi-Strauss, "The savage mind".  That book changed my way of seeing anthropology and made me decide for it. I think I made the right decision because I enjoyed what I study, with what can become the discipline. So far my experience in the university has been positive in general.
